Founded in 2020 by George Heighway, the Group was built on the values of technical excellence, grounded leadership and total focus on doing the job well. That ethos still drives us today, as our teams work across the UK power network on projects ranging from local substation upgrades to major transmission infrastructure works.

George Heighway
Managing Director
George is a highly experienced electrical engineer with a background in rail, construction and high-voltage distribution. He founded Heighway in 2020 to meet rising demand for more accountable and technically capable HV contractors. Today, he leads the Group’s strategic direction, oversees project quality, and works closely with clients to ensure their expectations are met – and often exceeded.
Construction managers
Your project point of contact
Our construction managers bring together civil engineering knowledge and utility infrastructure experience. They oversee the daily execution of major works on site, ensuring safety, programme, and quality targets are consistently met. As client-facing leaders, they provide updates, manage sequencing, and coordinate across divisions to keep every phase moving forward.
Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs)
Leading safe delivery on site
Our SAPs are the cornerstone of our HV delivery. With years of certified experience across energised networks, they supervise all high-voltage work, maintain safety protocols, and manage commissioning activities. As senior site figures, they provide technical assurance and are available to support clients and partners throughout delivery.
